Research

Today in class we are researching the common conventions in commercials on specific products. The product I chose to research were water bottles. It always made me curious on how a company would try to market a resource humans can't live without. However there are certain tactics they utilize.
The common conventions in a water bottle commercial or the ones that were most apparent to me. The most prominent conventions were to use lots of visuals and to have a gimmick in someway. By doing this companies could stand out among the competition even though they're selling the same thing.
An example of a company utilizing these tactics is the Fiji water company. They market their product as the purest and most untouched water on Earth, which is their gimmick. They also use images of Fiji in their commercials and are accompanied by a narration. This is a very brief summary of the conventions used in water bottle commercials that concludes my post, thank you for visiting my blog.
